Story

Update: I have up'd the required amount to 75,000 based on the architects estimation to make the house Suitable for Stacey to return home. Let's have one last push!

Hi people of the world we really need your help. Five months ago now Stacey Conlin at the age of 34 suffered a spinal stroke leaving her almost completely paralysed. She has a loving partner in Paul Muir and two beautiful young children in Lottie and Paul. This has crippled their family. I can't begin to imagine what they have went through during lockdown where Paul and the kids spent months without seeing their partner and mum. Also what Stacy has went through lying in hospital not knowing what is happening to her and not being able to see her family.

As a man we grow up saying to our mates and friends, if anything was to happen to you, I'd be there in a minute. It’s not often you get to use this card but when I was in need of support climbing Ben Nevis last year in memory of my cousin Reece and to raise funds for Papyrus for mental health support and awareness Paul was one of the first to jump in. I'm creating this just giving page for not only me and my brother but all the friends and family that would do anything to help this family in the most horrible of circumstances.

We aim to raise around £50000 for them to be a family again. This will be used to extend the house and fit a lift for Stacey. It is also to adapt the access to the house to make it accessible for a wheel chair. At this present time the family are split between Stacey being in hospital and a house that is not equipped to allow her to come home by law. The recovery unit she is in at present cannot house her for much longer either, making it inevitable the she will be moved to another hospital that will not be equipped to help her recovery or allow the family to become one again. The current situation with Coronavirus is also adding to the stress as Stacey, Paul and the kids can only be together as a family for just 1 hour a week.
