Having worked hard in training all year with GBR Blind sailing, I have been selected to compete in the world championships in USA. This sport keeps me going since my sight loss. Despite many of the team coping well with sight loss we still need our sport to keep us motivated. We all work hard and struggle to fund a very expensive but rewarding sport. I use this sport to also inspire the students I work with, and demonstrate that hard work brings rewards. I hope to improve on my previous Silver medal in Chicago. My physios are working hard to get me in good shape for this years competition. We fund all our training weekends ourselves, so this huge cost is the final hurdle for which I require some support. I hope you all can see me through this final struggle.
