Story
Christopher Wilson and André Bisson from Preston, Lancashire, will be tackling the National Three Peaks Challenge in June, for the charities: Shelter, Bloodwise, The Foxton Centre and Animal Rescue Cumbria.
What is the National Three Peaks Challenge?
This challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland in under 24 hours. To climb Scafell Pike (978m), Snowdon (1085m) and Ben Nevis (1345m) back to back takes a significant amount of planning, fitness and determination. We will accomplish this challenge to help aid these charities in continuing their valuable work.
Why have we chosen these charities?
Bloodwise: This charity has one vision, which is to beat blood cancer. Bloodwise aims at stopping people dying from blood cancer, making patients' lives better and looking for ways to prevent blood cancer happening in the first place through extensive self-funded research. A young member of Chris's family was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2015 which highlighted how important it is to fight blood cancer.
Shelter: It is hard to believe that every day in Britain, 150 families become homeless. This is why charities such as Shelter are sorely needed in order to help millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness.
Animal Rescue Cumbria: Formed in 1972, this charity aimed at stopping unwanted pets being put to sleep and rehoming them with loving families. In 1974, Alfred Wainwright was elected as chairman and helped raise funds from his popular fell walking books. However, since his death, the charity has become dependant on donations and volunteers in order to give vulnerable pets a second chance in life.
The Foxton Centre: This charity aims to work with the most marginalised communities in Preston to provide them with opportunities to flourish as human beings.
We hope you can support us so that we can all continue to make a difference in other people's and animals lives. Thank you.

The response has been awesome and we're now collecting all our donations together (from online and offline) to work out our grand total for charity. Once we know we'll post it on here :)
