Story
a colleague of mine has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. As a result she needed cancer treatment but as she lives in Oxted her closest option for this was all the way in Guildford.
Liz has been trying to raise £10,000 to put towards a treatment centre that McMillan want to build at East Surrey Hospital, enabling a huge amount of local people access to treatment closer to home.
Liz has so far raised £7,000 by organising a charity swim, cake sales and a book club she set up out of Tandridge Trust's sites.
Unfortunately the cancer is now starting to take a hold of Liz and so we are running another charity swim to try and get her over the £10,000 mark as soon as possible.
i will be swimming 200 lengths which equates to just over 3 miles or 5km. my target alone is £350 but as a collective we are hoping for a minimum of £3,000 for the event.
Your help and support with this would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way to helping a vast number of people in the local community.
