Story

The Orang-Utan's survival is constantly threatened by forest fires, tree felling, poaching and illegal hunting. Palm oil is the hugest threat to Orang-Utans and it is in nearly all of our daily consumed products - including cleaning products, cosmetics, foods and fuels.

Displacement of indigenous people, deforestation and loss of biodiversity are all consequences of OUR daily palm oil consumption.

Palm oil plantations currently cover more than 27 million hectares of the earths surface and produce a dangerous amount of CO2 emissions. Palm oil consumption also impacts our health as the refined palm oil contains large amounts of harmful fatty acid esters that are known to damage DNA and cause cancer.

We as consumers are generally unaware of the devastation that palm oil causes to our health and the health and wellbeing of the animals around us.

The Orang-Utan will be extinct within the next 50 years if we do not take a stand and do something about it.

This is why I am raising funds and heading out to Borneo myself for 2 months to help rehabilitate and care for orphaned Orang-Utans.
I raised a large sum of money for the Orang-Utans last year by taking part in the worlds longest zip wire challenge and this year I want to do more. I refuse to sit back and watch these beautiful creatures become extinct due to our needless consumption of palm oil!

Thank you so much in advance for your support and donations.

Please spread the word far and wide - PALM OIL DOES NOT JUST AFFECT ORANG-UTANS - IT AFFECTS YOU, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS and YOUR PETS!!
