Story
Sue Hanson, Jo Teixeira, Kevin Penna, Ava Cashman, Emily Wiegersma, Neil Sproats, Jenny Cooper, Niki Lloyd, Karen Sachon who are staff from Okehampton College will be taking part in a sponsored abseil off Meldon viaduct on 7th May. They will be raising money for Okehampton College Big Band and the Learning support department.
Meldon viaduct is an iconic local landmark, that will provide us with a drop of 35 metres!
All money raised will contribute towards supplying essential equipment needed by the children that use the Learning support department and play in The Big Band.
The abseil will be led by Adventure Okehampton's Chief Instructor, Ian Stocker. Ian and Adventure Okehampton have very kindly offered to run this event for free, so all money raised will go directly to Okehampton College PTFA.
We would like to say a huge thank you to them!
Anyone wanting to come to witness us throw ourselves (gently lower ourselves) off the bridge, we would love your moral support on the day!
Thank you very much for sponsoring those taking part and supporting our pupils.
