Story

So many lives have been devastated by cancer. Most of us have been affected by it in one way or another. The biggest fear in life however when you become a parent is the health safety and wellbeing of your children. Imagine when the two collide and cancer affects the health of your child. Patrick is a 13 year old boy who’s life has been devastated by a cancer diagnosis. The world he lives in with his mother father and sisters has come crashing down around him and the future ahead is uncertain and very scary. Patrick has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma of the femur

Chrissie and Darren O’Hara are like the rest of us, simply working hard to raise their children in the best way they know how. They are the kindest most thoughtful and positive people you could meet. Their only focus in life now however is to go through this journey with Patrick and pray for the most positive outcome. The road ahead is going to be full of heartache pain and uncertainty. The one thing however that is not uncertain is the bills and general day to day living. As self employed workers who just want to spend their time with their son and go with him to Dublin repeatedly for treatment, they need our help.

My request to you is that you help these people at this very difficult time to take the pressure off the journey they are on with a very poorly young man. Whether that’s a 1£/€ or £10/€10 or more, every penny will help them ease the pressure and concentrate on the most important thing which is the health of their child. We will as time goes on organise some events to help support Chrissie and Darren but for now your financial support will just help alleviate some fears, leaving them with the time they need to concentrate on Patrick

Thank you so much
