We are raising £500 for young cricketers
For the first time in a number of years, Christchurch Cricket Club are delighted to announce that we will be launching a programme for young cricketers in 2025, which will include the Dynamoes Programme.
Coaching is already taking place in local Primary Schools and when completed, we’ll start the 8 week Dynamoes Programme.
We are pleased to be part of the Walking in the Valleys for Young Cricketers Event again this year which is taking place at the end of March. It takes place over 4 days and for a great cause. Prior to and during the event we are aiming to promote the club, the benefits of and opportunities to play cricket in the Rhondda Fach and Valleys in general, while raising valuable funds. This will be not only for young people, but ladies and anyone interested in this fantastic game of ours.
The route for each day has been confirmed: Day 1, Thurs 27th March - Hopkinstown CC to Upper Rhondda CC (10 miles) Day 2, Friday 28th March - Pontypridd CC to Mountain Ash CC (9 miles) Day 3, Saturday 29th March - Christchurch CC to Abercynon CC (11 miles) Day 4, Sunday 30th March - Taffs Well Railway Station to Glamorgan CCC (Sophia Gardens) (6 miles)
We understand that there are many other worthy causes and charities that require funds and we are all going through difficult times as a result of the financial crisis.
If you are able to contribute and help us raise our £500 target, we would really appreciate it and greatly received.
Please share and help us make Walking in the Valleys for Young Cricketers a great event again this year.
