Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised
Raising money for a local football team doesn't mean just helping a bunch of men run around a field. It's also about the Spirit of Football, promoting fair play and respect for other people as well giving players a feeling of worth and encouraging sociability and hospitality.
The game also includes the officials, ball boys, refreshment staff, grounds men, someone to sort the parking and of course the spectators.
The local football club is a major part of village life.
Financing all this of course brings its problems.
Perivoli does not have large firms to call upon for sponsorship and with the current financial crisis in Greece funds for sport are few and far between.
This is where you come in. Please help Perivoli to continue playing football and ensure that the 'team spirit' throughout the village encourages both young and old to enjoy the game as well as promote the values of teamwork, sociability, hospitality, respect and good behaviour.
What in it for you? Well, as well have having access to photos of games, results and updates etc. those that give £20 or more will go into a draw to win an all inclusive holiday in Corfu which includes flights, accommodation, transport from and to the airport, breakfast and dinner and also a day trip to the island of Paxos as well and a scuba diving lesson.
