Story

Christine passed away Saturday 13th September. Many of you may have known that she had been ill for some time, but we are sure that you are as shocked as we were that the end came so quickly.

Christine loved being a vet and an ophthalmologist. She lived and breathed her commitment to the pets that were entrusted to her care. Her talent as a clinician was irreplaceable, but alongside that was her understanding of just how important the human-animal bond is.

Her love of animals continued into her home life. Over her lifetime she had over 20 dogs and 10 cats, some of them patients that needed to be re-homed. She has been the heart of the Eye Veterinary Clinic for the last 10 years and she counted this as one of her greatest achievements. She was so proud of the team that had grown around her and we know that her legacy lives on in those people that she trained and mentored. Her ethos was always to do the very best for each pet and their owners in their own circumstances.

She is survived by Karen her partner, her mother Irmgard, brother Udo and sister Annette in addition to her extended family and countless friends. We will miss her every day.

Her funeral will be held at Hereford Crematorium Friday 10th October at 11.15am and refreshments will be at Newton Court https://www.newtoncourtcider.com/

In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to the two nominated charities Bowel Cancer UK and Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue.
