I've raised £500 to support two causes close to my heart. St Peter’s Children’s & Youth Work and West Barns Primary School

I turn 50 this year in July and have looked for something to mark this event. When I turned 40 I abseiled off The Forth Railway Bridge for Chest Heart and Stroke.
As a teacher, and educator Im passionate about kindness, giving and character development. I would like to show all the children I teach or will ever teach, that you are never too small to make a difference. I am 4ft 10 so there is a particular truth in that for me too!
So what can I do? I can run. I hate and have always hated running, but there has been something life changing, character building and simply exhilarating about trying hard - perservering. Running a parkrun with friends every week has also been fun!
So to celebrate my 50 times round the sun I will be doing a sponsored 5k parkrun on 13th July with friends to raise money to benefit the children of West Barns Primary and St Peters Church, Lutton Place.
Please feel free to donate or send me a message of encouragement for the 13th of July!
