Hi I’m Chelsea and I have set up a just giving page as our family are reaching out for help.

Recently our world was crushed with the devastating news that our beautiful Nan, Christine was diagnosed with Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cancer; a type of lung cancer which has spread around her body.

Nan is no stranger to cancer unfortunately, as she also battled stage 4 breast cancer at the young age of 27. This woman has been through more than most, and to know she is now fighting against cancer for the second time is super heartbreaking and scary for us all. Our Nan is our rock and our best-friend. She is the heart of our home.

She has taught us all that life isn’t bullet proof as Cancer can happen to anyone at anytime. Seeing her adapt to her new reality - finding grace in the struggle has been inspirational.

We all think we have time on our hands, but time isn’t promised to anyone. We all walk through life assuming our strength is a permanent fixture, until a single diagnosis reminds us how fragile the foundation really is.

Nan has started Chemotherapy and has had 4 rounds of it, she has two more to have. After Chemo she was going to start immunotherapy for 3 years. However, her Chemotherapy treatments have been delayed every time due to damaging her blood cells. Immunotherapy is now too dangerous for her to have. So her last option is a new treatment which is called Parp Inhibitor. Unfortunately, the cost for this treatment is around £2,000 a month. We are hoping to raise around £12,000 so Nan doesn’t have to worry for the next 6 months about costs for her treatment.

We understand times are tough for everyone, so please know that no contribution is ‘too small’. Whether it’s £5 or just sharing our story around means the world to Nan & our whole family. We aren’t expecting to hit our target, however every little donation will help pay towards Nans treatment.
