Story

Christmas is a time of happiness, giving, love and family but for some in these hard times it can be difficult to even find the money for the basic essentials which we all use on a daily basis. Food, nappies and baby milk are expensive especially to people struggling due to unemployment and poverty caused by the pandemic. So we decided that decorating our house with Christmas cheer as we do every year, would be a great way to raise a few pennies to buy a big Christmas shop to donate to the food bank. We will be putting out little bags of sanitised sweets on the fence for children to take. People may bring their children to see the house and donate via our little charity box or can do it electronically if they wish. We all need to chip in and do our bit as we have seen in recent months when the government didn't provide meal vouchers for children over the holidays. Donating food over winter has never been so important, so dig deep and spare what you can and let's all try and make a difference in peoples lives this Christmas. The modern world hasn't seen anything like this pandemic before, so community spirit and values and giving back is what we more fortunate people must do. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish you a very merry christmas! Thanks to everyone quo has helped me so far.
