Story
On 25 December 2017 a group of very special people came to Richmond to celebrate Christmas. Our guests were all young people who had grown up in care, didn't have families to go to, and faced Christmas alone.
We had a magical day in a stunning location in the heart of the borough, complete with a scrumptious homemade Christmas dinner, games, crafts, activities and chocolate. Every guest received a selection of carefully chosen gifts and a fabulous Christmas stocking to take home.
This was achieved thanks to the many, many wonderful people who generously donated food, gifts and cash , or spent hours wrapping and prepping and clearing up, and the generosity of companies which donated their goods and services for free.
And now we are doing it all again.
Can you help? A donation will help pay for all the bits and pieces that can't be found for free, and we will be truly grateful.

6 years agoAs we move into December and Advent we are also starting our final preparations. We have had a fantastic response from the community for our appeals for donation of everything from turkeys to taxis, but more to the point we are very much on track to have *every* seat filled at our Christmas dinner, and to have a very special day.

6 years agoWell - what can I say! In just a few weeks we have secured a fabulous venue, been promised some incredible food, and have had dozens of people getting in touch to volunteer their time. Even more exciting, we have lots of interest from young people. We have increased the fundraising target as some items are going to be more expensive this year, especially transport.
