🎄 Our Christmas Community Dinner Story 🎄

In 2019, we held our very first Christmas Day Dinner for our local community. The idea came after I attended a community event just two weeks before Christmas, where a lovely Macmillan nurse asked if there were any local Christmas dinners happening in the area, sadly, there were none.

The year before had been a very difficult one for our family. We spent Christmas visiting a close relative in ICU, and during that time I saw how many people were alone on what should be a day of togetherness. That experience inspired me to make a change, to create a space where no one had to spend Christmas feeling forgotten.

With the help of our wonderful town, we came together to cook a beautiful Christmas dinner, complete with gifts for our guests and a team of amazing volunteers spreading festive cheer. The warmth, laughter, and sense of belonging created that day built friendships and community connections that still last today.

After a pause during COVID, we returned stronger than ever, serving over 100 people in 2022, 200 in 2023, and an incredible 250 guests in 2024!

This year marks our fourth Community Christmas Dinner, and we’re thrilled to announce it will take place at a new venue, made possible by the incredible people of Fleetwood coming together once again.

However, due to the move, we now need to hire an external kitchen at a cost of £2,500, which has created an unexpected financial challenge. That’s why we need your support more than ever before to make sure this special day can still go ahead.

This event is all about bringing people together, sharing food, laughter, kindness, and creating long-lasting connections that go far beyond Christmas Day. Everyone deserves to feel valued, loved, and part of something special.

Your donation, big or small, will help us provide a warm meal, thoughtful gifts, and a safe, joyful space for those who may otherwise spend the day alone. Any extra funds raised will be given back to the community through food vouchers, toy donations, and hygiene packages.
