Story
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit can be the last place you want to spend your baby's first Christmas... machines beeping, alarms sounding, nurses rushing around and your tiny precious baby is hooked up to machines.
We want to make this Christmas a happy time for the families in Liverpool Women's Hospital, a Christmas full of hope with plans for the future.
Having spent 10 long days in LWH myself when our twins arrived earlier than planned the NICU nurses and staff at the hospital were fantastic, so understanding and helpful.
This is my chance to give them something back, to thank them for their time and efforts in looking after my babies and all the other babies needing help over the Christmas period.
But not only to thank the nurses but to lift the spirits of families visiting their babies over Christmas. Babies that should be at home with their families, waking up on Christmas morning and feeling joy and love associated with Christmas time.
Its a small token but if we can make one family smile and realise their not alone... we've done what we set out to do!
K xx
