Story

In Memory of Patrick Edward Caine

On the 12th of March 2019 Patrick passed away after a brave 4 month battle with sepsis. Patrick spent his last few days in Hayward House, receiving amazing care from a dedicated team.

Hayward House is a specialist palliative care unit in the grounds of the City Hospital. It provides high quality care centred on the needs of patients and their families. Its aim is to enrich the quality of life through the skills of an experienced and caring team. Hayward House offers palliative care from diagnosis, through the interim periods of advancing disease, up to and including end of life care.

On the 29th September Melanie, George, Hannah and myself will be running the Robin Hood half Marathon in preparation for our trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro in memory of Patrick.

Over the years, Patrick, through the shop and different societies, helped raise a significant amount of money for different wards at Nottingham City Hospital and QMC. All very worthy causes which were close to Patricks heart.

It is our hope to raise as much money as possible through kind donations to help Hayward house who looked after Patrick and my family.

Love,

Chris and family
