Story

On Sunday 25th November 2018, Combat Athlete Telford are putting on a MMA Challenge at the Park Inn in Telford to raise money for charity. This challenge gives regular people the opportunity of a lifetime to experience the world’s fastest growing sport Mixed Martial Arts. I am taking up this challenge and an 8 week training program to then compete in the cage to raise money for a local boy called Zac Oliver.

Zac Oliver is from Telford and was diagnosed in May 2018 with a very rare and aggressive form of leukaemia. After 4 months of treatment his results were not what his family had hoped for, as the chemo had not killed the cancer. The treatment he so desperately needs is CAR-T therapy and this is not available to him in the UK. His family have found a place at Philadelphia's Children's hospital which cost £500,000. Although this target has now been met but there is further requirements for aftercare and on-going treatment, which is what the proceeds of this challenge and any fund raising for this even will go towards.

If you could please spare a £ or a few £’s, all donations are gratefully received and will help towards the cost of the on-going treatment.
