    Story

Over the next 3 months I am riding three cycling Sportives.

    Ride MK - 50 miles - 8th July
    Prudential Ride 100 - 100 miles - 30th July
    Velo Birmingham - 100 miles - 24th September

To provide a little more motivation during training and particularly on the two century rides I would like to support to great causes. Any money raised will be split equally between Let's Talk about William and The Sick Children's Trust.

    Let's Talk About William
Our beautiful little boy, William Alexander Patrick King was born asleep on 2nd July 2014 at 30 weeks old. In honour of William we have established a non-registered charity called 'Let's talk about William'.

Our main objective is to raise awareness of still birth and neonatal deaths, especially the shocking statistics associated with it. Seventeen babies die each day in the UK alone, and for 60% of these babies, we will never know the reason why. William was one of these babies.

We take a huge amount of pride, and comfort, talking about our beautiful eldest son William and believe the devastating effects of still birth should not be a taboo subject any more. Let's talk about William, and other families going through the same inconsolable, tragic loss.

    The Sick Children's Trust
The Sick Children's Trust's exists to aid the recovery of sick children by supporting the whole family. Our Vision, Mission and Values help explain how we hope to achieve this purpose.

    Our Vision

We are working to a future where every family with a seriously ill child in hospital will be able to stay together, just minutes from their child’s bed during their treatment.

    Our Mission

We believe keeping families together significantly improves the recovery of seriously ill children. We provide free, high-quality ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support, to families with sick children in hospital in the UK.
