I've raised £2000 to Help the community Im going to cycle from Liverpool to Leeds with Ed Carlisle to raise funds for Getting Clean to carry out Community work

Getting Clean CIC was formed to help people who have addiction problems to alcohol and substances become abstinent & find a new way to live.
As a group we meet regularly to support each other sharing our experience strength and hope. Our aim is to use our Lived Experience as a way to help others overcome the powerlessness of Addiction. Our aim is to change the perception of Addiction & give back to the community, society & environment!
We carry out projects that support vulnerable, elderly and disabled people such as repair jobs, garden clean up & maintenance work. We also carry out conservation projects focusing on climate change planting trees and removing hazardous diseased trees to prevent the spread of disease.
Recently we have created Wildflower Meadows for pollinators within urban & inner-city areas allowing a perfect habit for nature in once desolate & neglected areas.
Our CIC carries out in regular community litter picks and has a focus on recycling plastic and litter to be reused reducing the impact to our planet.
All the work is carried out by people who are overcoming their own issues and battling Addiction. We are constantly growing and learning new skills and becoming better people making our environment Safer, Happier & Cleaner.
