In 2010 Chris was an alcoholic living on the streets of London. His marriage had failed and he was refused access to his son. Chris accessed support for his addiction and he has grown from strength to strength.

Chris joined Positive Hull CIC when he still lived in London. His heart has always belonged in Hull and Positive Hull CIC helped him to move back providing short term accomodation whilst he found a job as a support worker with Riverside, helping the homeless.

Chris also volunteers with Raise the roof - homeless charity and you will find him serving at many soup kitchens across the city.

Chris has experienced first hand how positive action can change someones life and he is running Hull 10K to raise funds for Positive Hull CIC.

The money Chris will raise will help Positive Hull CIC to provide social drop ins for all those who feel isolated due to a disengagement with statutory services especially mental health. Hull has a real need to improve these vital crisis responses services and Positive Hull provides a refuge when these services fail their users.
