After the early end of the previous strike dates for talks, those talk have broken down. Churchill cleaners are now walking out from 0000 Thursday 2nd June - 2359 Monday 6th June. More donations needed to keep the guys going

Contracted out cleaning staff will mount picket lines for 11 days from April 27 to May 7 in their fight for a £15 per hour pay rate. Currently cleaners working for Churchill at GTR can earn as little £8.91 an hour. They also demand company sick pay and free travel across the network, in line every other worker on the railway. This on the back of a cost-of-living crisis with prices rising at their fastest rate in 30 years and inflation running at 7 percent. In 2020 they made £39m profit yet refused to raise wages to a decent standard.

Just an update, the struggle is ongoing, another walkout this weekend 12th & 13th March. This time picket lines will be out in force at Brighton Station and other locations across the network. I've added a picture from the walkout last time round of the demonstration outside the Houses of Parliament
