Story

Earlier this year Ciaran worked with NUFC, RNID and Sela in the launch of the sound shirt Designed by the amazing Cute Circuit. During the Newcastle Vs Tottenham game Ciaran was caught on camera, which captured a moment that stole the nations heart, this was through his sheer passion and pure love for his hero's NUFC.

From that moment Ciaran has been living in a whirlwind.

It is very rare that an opportunity so big comes along for the Deaf community. A opportunity that can spread a message, open the eyes of the hearing world, where they want to stand together as one and make this world more accepting and accessible for the deaf community.

Ciaran has faced a lot of battles in his life, is a very shy young man, and struggles with confidence and mixing. Ciaran has had mental heath battles due to feeling embarrassment and excluded due to his disabilities. Ciaran believed everyone Hated him because he was deaf.

Off the back of Ciarans viral photo the amount of love shown for him, and the way people have went out of their comfort zones to make him feel included in this crazy world has blown us all away. He now feels he has an identity, he is not embarrassed of being deaf, he feels accepted within the hearing work as and equal. He is proud. It is his super power.

Ciaran wants to make sure he makes the rest of his Deaf community feel this sense of joy and acceptance and wont stop spreading awareness.

Ciaran will be hosting a charity football match on the 4th of August. Where he wants to raise some much needed funds for Stanley Deaf club and South Tyneside Ability Fc.

STANLEY DEAF CLUB - Ciaran attends Stanley deaf club every two weeks, where he will meet up with his friends from the deaf community. This club is voluntary ran by Mandy Davison, she has dedicated her life to the deaf community and works extremely hard to be able to keep the club open. Individuals who attend the club travel significant distance just to see their friends and this could quite possible the only time they mix with others. Members of the deaf club will raise their own money by buying raffle prizes for open nights to then buy the tickets to win the prizes back, but they do this so the club can stay open no matter the cost. The club is a huge part of ciaran and his communities life and it is vital that it stays open so they have a safe space where all can relax and make memories and build friendships for life.

SOUTH TYNESIDE ABILITY FC - Ciaran has been turned away from football teams because of his disability. which you can only imagine broke him and affected his confidence hugely. After a lot of searching as a family we found south Tyneside ability fc and they welcomed Ciaran with open arms. Ciaran is now a loved member of the team and is living his dream being part of something, and feeling understood. The team is a voluntary ran team and all the coaches dedicate their time to all the children out of sheer passion. Things can become very costly with very low budgets for parents with children with additional needs, such as myself ( Ciaran's mam), i struggle to keep up with the costs of football kits, boots, travel expenses. After speaking with the coaches and other parents who have children in the club, I would like to raise money to have a pot of funds where if a parent is struggling to fund their child's passion they can be given help. As a mother of a child with disability I understand the struggles faced. Id like to be able to take the strain off.

Theses two clubs, both sit hand in with inclusivity, a safe space.

ALL MONEY RASIED WILL BE GETTING SPLIT DOWN THE MIDDLE FOR STANLEY DEAF CLUB AND SOUTH TYNESIDE ABILITY FC
