Five successful years helped create the Women's CiCLE Classic as the most unique, popular and characterful Elite Woman's road cycle race in Britain. Sadly, everything changed in early April 2022. The events sponsor since its inception, in a shock move, withdrew his support leaving the event under threat of cancellation.owing to an entirely political principle unrelated to the race itself.

This is not how true and fair sport should be. It cuts across the aims of those like ourselves wishing to simply provide the widest opportunities for Women's cycling to continue its rapid developmenmt in a fair and equitable manner.

Whilst we seek a long lasting solution to the annual funding of this event, an immediate injection of £15000 is sought to enable this year's 6th edition of the Women's CiCLE Classic to take place as planned on Sunday 19th June 2022.

We seek your help and support in our endeavours to continue this great event, highlighting the talents of Britain's Women's cyclists, many of our winners are now able to boast of their achievements as Olympic, World and European Champions.
