We are a volunteer based, not for profit community organisation, championing the circular economy way of doing things in our homes and town. We are creating the FIRST circular economy market town in Yorkshire and the UK.

By keeping things in circulation instead of Take-Make-Dispose, we can bring social and economic benefits as well as environmental ones.

We are raising £50,000 to cover the running costs for our new Community Circular Hub - these are town centre premises that host many environmental projects that are inspiring everyone, of every age, and making it easy to get involved and take a first step towards tackling climate change. Together every action will make a big difference.

These projects include upcycling (donating/buying/have a go workshops), buying and giving pre-loved clothes, helpful independent energy advice, renting from the Library of Things and more.

The running costs enable us to design and run workshops, promote challenges such as making bird boxes or rethinking denim, creating a town map signposting all the sustainable businesses and orgsnisations, for residents & visitors alike.

We share our approach and offer support to community groups around the country, so they can set up their own circular community.
