Story

We are raising £750 (and hopefully more!) for the Railway Mission as part of a charity challenge undertaken by CIRO staff for our Charity Day.

As part of this challenge, CIRO staff will be completing a 16–18-mile hike taking in some of the Peak District’s most iconic scenery. The route will be a loop starting at Castleton through to Mam Tor onto Great Ridge including Win Hill , Ladybower and finally back to Castleton! The hike will take place on 12th June.

Railway Mission is a dedicated charity providing vital mental health and emotional support to everyone in the railway family. Their chaplains across England, Scotland, and Wales are there to offer a friendly, confidential listening ear and a reassuring presence for anyone who needs someone to talk to—whether the concern is big or small.

They have supported people through a wide range of challenges, including loneliness, stress, workplace change, depression, relationship difficulties, financial worries, bereavement, and illness.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and consider supporting this important cause. Donations made through JustGiving are quick, simple, and secure. Once you donate, the funds are transferred directly, making it one of the most efficient ways to give—saving both time and administrative costs.
