Seun was born in the UK. He is about to turn ten. At that point, he will be entitled to register as a British citizen. The fee for the application is £1,012 (even though the actual processing cost is a fraction of that). Seun's mother is not allowed to work, because she does not have leave to remain. She has very few options to raise that money.

Registering Seun, who has lived in the UK his whole life, would transform him and his mum's life for the better. Their lives would be much more stable and secure. If Seun is officially registered as British, his mum would also become eligible to work to support them both.

I was born in the UK. I have lived here my whole life. If I had my British citizenship, it will change my life.

I would love to learn new languages so I can help other people. There is someone at my school who doesn't speak English. I want to learn new languages so I can help her."
