Story
Here at the Students’ Association at City of Glasgow College, we want to help our local area by providing essential items to the elderly and people in need during these difficult times. We will be creating care packs which will include toilet paper, soap and any other items that people may require.
We will then deliver to local community groups in the Townhead Village Hall and St Mungo’s RC Church who work with elderly and vulnerable groups.
We are asking you to donate to our Just Giving Page which will be open from today, until Tuesday 17th March. We will then aim to purchase these items, and distribute them on Thursday 19th March.
Thank you,
CitySA

4 years agoWow. We are so overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who has donated to our initiative. We are gathering as many items as possible. Our target was £500, which we have now doubled. With the additional money, we will be donating money to Food Banks in Glasgow, which help some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Although the donations page is still open, we are asking for no more donations to be made to the page. Again, thank you for all your donations. In times like this, it’s amazing to see people looking out for each other.
