For those of you that know me well you will know that this is a cause that is very close to my heart.

Prior to the birth of my children, I am ashamed to say that Neonatal Units were a bit of an enigma to me...little did I know how much I would come to rely on them. Nothing prepares you for life in the NICU - It is scary, loud, hot and full of complicated machinery and babies smaller than you ever thought you would see fighting for their lives BUT, despite this it is also a place of hope, love and immense support and has been like second home to me for many months over the past 5 years.

I will be forever indebted Stepping Hill Neonatal unit for the care they gave both of my little ones and also Nick and I across the years so now I am raising money for the unit to hopefully help give a little something back and help others going through their own journey.

In July Nick and I will be taking part in a sponsored event zipping down Europe's longest Zipwire "Titan" to raise money for Stepping Hill's Neonatal Unit. Lily was born 10 weeks prematurely at 2lb 7oz and spent a total of 99 days in hospital.

Xander was 4 weeks premature at 4lb 9oz and spent 14 days in hospital
