I'm raising £750 for words and numbers

My name is CJ and I’m 11 years old I have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Irlens and just recently we finally got the Dyslexia diagnosis making me feel like I’m not just stupid. There is a reason why I struggle. My dream is to raise awareness for dyslexia and support words and numbers who have been my hero in teaching me to read and giving me much needed hope, that I can achieve what I want in life despite my diagnosis.

Last year I raised over £1000 for words and numbers and we have decided to complete the run again. Words and numbers loved my idea and have more wonderful people going to join us too. The hope they have given me has been priceless and they need as much funds as possible to reach more people for support. I was telling my mum the other day when she asked why I won’t give up after watching how hard I struggle and at times how upset I get. She said is it all worth it, because if I didn’t want to do it I could give up. I said no way mum, I need to do this, I need to read and write so I can show everyone out there with these struggles, that they can do it too. I want people to have hope and I’m never going to give up until I pass English and go to university. Please show your support by sharing my story, donating or joining us for the run by walking, running or cycling. It is important that others with dyslexia do not lose hope or get made fun of as it’s not a nice feeling. I often see people being unkind and this really upsets me. If there is anything you can do is always be understanding and kind and don’t let anyone feel like they are stupid if they can’t do something.
