I've raised £3000 to help fund Clair Brady on her road to recovery following a life changing motorcycle accident. We are overwhelmed by everyone's generosity xxx

On Monday morning 7th June my amazing beautiful partner Clair took her bike out for a ride to Harwich. She arrived there safely and by the pictures on her phone looks to have enjoyed a cuppa alongside the water. Unfortunately she never made it home. She thinks she remembers clipping a wing mirror on a bend and then thinking to herself she's going off the road. She ended up in a field. She was airlifted direct to Addenbrookes where an initial assessment discovered many broken ribs, a broken shoulder blade, but then also three broken vertebrae. Clair was unable to feel anything below the chest. She had an MRI Tuesday 8th June and it is has been confirmed that her spinal cord has been severed, and that she will never walk again. She had surgery scheduled for 10th June to stabilise her spine which went well.
All of this in the week where Clair was going to move in with me having just given up her home. We are now faced with a very different difficult road ahead, needing to move to a home better suited for wheelchair access, her initial care, and new lifestyle.
Clair and I would be immensely grateful for any donation given towards her ongoing recovery and our sudden need for a new wheelchair friendly home. As well as all the other things we likely haven't even thought of yet!
***UPDATE***
I have increased the target to help keep momentum after all you amazing people smashed our first target so quickly. Thank you to all those that have donated so far, your generosity will be a huge help in getting Clair back to her new normal x
***Update 16th June***
Clair is making good progress at Addenbrookes, having started physio to help her breathing and upper body/arm strength. Although the broken ribs and shoulder blade make this very difficult. Still an incredibly long journey ahead but moving in the right direction.
Thank you to all those that have donated so far. If you'd like to help but can't manage a donation, simply sharing this page would also be a massive help xxx
