I appeal to you on behalf of Hartlepool Rugby Club Under 17’s Junior Colts. We are a new team that was formed at the beginning of 2017 and we have come a long way in a relatively short space of time.

The team was born out of the club’s commitment to offering rugby to all ages and increasing participation within the local community. At the start of our journey we had only two players. But through perseverance and a determination to succeed we are delighted to say that we currently boast a squad of 28 players and play matches on a weekly basis.

We are very proud of our achievements so far and the hard work of a lot of people connected with the team is gradually translating to success on the field. There are however, many expenses connected with running the team and we rely on funding solely from our own fundraising events and the generous support of local businesses.

The players are a fantastic bunch of lads who are passionate, work hard, play hard, are excited to be playing great rugby and most importantly they are a team.

One major expense is the cost of playing shirts and team wear for our players. We were hoping that this might be something you would consider helping us with. We are contacting companies, clubs and individuals to ask if they have anything they could donate. We already have a signed rugby ball from The Falcons club which we are hoping to put in an auction along with other gift that we are hoping to receive that have been donated by club members.
