    Story

In the early hours of Christmas Day morning 2012 my husband passed away suddenly from a heart attack and subsequently a cardiac arrest.

The whole family was left devastated and we struggled to cope with life without Neil. My family was shattered and for a time we went in different directions trying to find a way of dealing with our loss and the new life we had been given. I won't lie to you it has been a horrendous, emotional and challenging time!

One of the ways that brought us back together was raising awareness of the importance of life saving skills and we did this through fundraising events, working with other charities, delivering CPR and defibrillator training in schools, work places, community centres and much more and we have even been as far as Dumfries!
The fundraising events helped us to place public defibrillators in our local community and our first achievement was placing our first public defibrillator in memory of Neil, which we are very proud of!

It is now coming up to four years since losing Neil and we miss him terribly but we know he will be very proud of all we have achieved. He will be proud that we have come together as a family and that we are now the strongest we have ever been!

It is amazing to see more and more defibrillators in public places but we need more!. We want anyone that may need a defibrillator to be in easy access to one so that we can help prevent families from having to go through what we went through.

Neil was an amazing, loving, kind, intelligent, funny, dad, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be loved and missed forever and always but he will live on within each and everyone of us and all we do.

Please support us so we can continue to raise awareness of the importance of life saving skills and help us place defibrillators in public places.
