Story
My names Sophie i'm 12. I am raising money for a once in a lifetime trip to Sumatra to help the endangered orangutans in 2020. I would love the opportunity to visit with my school and would really appreciate your help to make this happen.
Sumatran orangutans are critically endangered, with less than 15,000 surviving in the wild due to habitat loss and poaching.
This expedition will give me the opportunity to work with the Sumatran orangutan conservation programme (SOCP) and the orangutan information centre on their frontline conservation projects. It will also give me the opportunity to trek through the stunning Leuser Ecosystem and experience the culture of this truly awe-inspiring place.
