Story
SO FAR WE HAVE RAISED £2656.00
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
With this in mind, we're helping support The 'Wight Brainy Bunch', who do so much on the Island – they fund much needed research, aid early diagnosis and improve the care and quality of life for all those living with a brain tumour.
In 2013, Stacey, a young mother of three developed a Nerve Sheath Tumour in her spinal cord. Aged just 37.
In hospital doctors told Stacey she would be left with life changing defects, however defying all odds, Stacey went on and made a full recovery.
Stacey is now the life and soul of her and family, her and Wayne look after their children, Beth, Rosie and Louie and are always there for their grandchildren Mollie and Everley. Luckily Stacey does have a fantastic family network and Mum Karen is never far away. Always doing something for everyone, with a smile on her face, Stacey even finds the time to work part time in a doctor’s surgery to help others.
Sadly, Stacey was recently given the devastating blow of a second brain tumour. With the prospect of another operation and radiotherapy to follow, 2021 will be a challenging year for Stacey.
We'd like some of the funds to go to our dear friend Stacey Bull to pay for some respite after her operation.
