Story
On the 22nd March our gorgeous little boy Willoughby was hit by a car on his way home from school. Luckily for us, there were some amazing off duty medics that helped him initially, especially a wonderful nurse called Anna who literally held his head together until the paramedics arrived, stemming his blood loss. His injuries were so serious that the paramedics called the Hampshire Air Ambulance for help. We will be forever grateful for the incredible care and treatment he received from them at the scene and on the way to Southampton hospital. Not only were they amazing with Willoughby but helped Richard and I cope in a situation which is every parents worse nightmare. Willoughby underwent emergency surgery and was in Southampton Hospital for 5, very long days and is now doing brilliantly. This was undoubtably the most horrendous experience of our lives and without the doctors and crew of the Hamphsire Air Ambulance team who came to his rescue that day who knows where we'd be now. So Richard and I have decided to run the Great South Run in October to raise money for this incredible charity, who really need our support to continue to be able to offer the wonderful life saving emergency care they do so well so please give as much as you can and come and cheer us along on the day!
