I've raised £300 to support Amelia-Danni's fight against LCH and in memory of the heroic Calum Riddell.

So last week I crazily signed-up to run the Loch Ness Marathon in September 2018. I'll be running 26 miles (which is a pretty long way) in memory of the heroic Calum Riddell and in support of the brave Amelia-Danni.
As many of you may know, Calum (28) was one of the best, most courageous guys out there who I was lucky enough to have in my life as my best friend's soul mate before he sadly lost his fight against a stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumour in October 2017. He married Rebekah in July 2017 and tragically found out whilst on their honeymoon in August that his tumour was stage 4. He gave everything he could to fight this, just like we knew he would, but sadly was taken from us far too soon. He is in our thoughts every single day and I want to do this marathon to raise money in his memory in the hope that we will find a cure for this horrible disease one day. Cal you better be with me for the whole 26 miles, we love and miss you so much! “There’s only one Calum Riddell!“ ❤️❤️❤️
I'll also be running to raise money to support the precious Amelia-Danni with her fight against Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). Amelia-Danni is the 7-year-old daughter of one of my best friends, Courtnay. Amelia-Danni was diagnosed with LCH in February and will undergo 6 months of treatment including chemotherapy and steroids. Amelia-Danni is a little fighter, just like her father Danny was, who was sadly taken from her while Courtnay was pregnant. I believe Danny will be with her during this fight and will get her through it.
Any money that I manage to raise running this marathon will go towards Brain Tumour Research and Amelia-Danni's fund in the search for treatment for her in America. Please donate what you can and in return I promise to run my ass off, however mentally and physically challenging it may be, the thought of the bravery of these two people who I love dearly will keep me going!
Thank you all very much,
Claire
