I've raised £250 to donate to Ward 52 Children’s Neurosurgery at Leeds General Infirmary

I have not broadcast that my son has hydrocephalus which is a condition where the cerebral fluid in the skull and around the brain isn’t able to circulate properly, in his case because of a narrowing of a duct.
When he was five and a half months old he had two brain surgeries, one of which was to fit a shunt which remedies the condition.
During this stressful, worrying and heart wrenching time we were cared for by the fabulous, caring and selfless staff, Drs, Surgeons, Nurses, Cleaning staff, Porters, Catering Staff on Ward 52 Pediatric Neurosurgery at Leeds General Infirmary, they all looked after us. Not one of them did it for plaudits or presents they just wanted to help and look after us all.
Now I want to give something back to the ward so they can buy something to help the stay of other families and little ones that need it. It could be anything from something for the play room to fans to keep everyone cool when it’s too warm, basically whatever will help most.
So I’m running this years Great North Run on the 9th of September in a bid to raise money from sponsorship. The last time I ran it I was 4 years younger and hadn’t had a baby! The training this time around has definitely been tougher and I imagine the run will be to.
If you can spare a couple of pounds I would be very grateful.
