Story

Our beautiful little Lottie was born with a rare genetic disorder- in Lotties case one gene has mutated. To date we haven't come across any other person with this mutation. This mutation has occurred in her potassium channels resulting in globally delayed development, as well as epilepsy, dysphagia(problems swallowing so high risk of choking) and Lottie is also visually impaired. Despite this she is an absolutely delightful little girl who can put a smile on anyone's face, especially with her giggle. Lottie currently sleeps downstairs in the family home-although this was the initial plan when we moved into the house 18 months ago our long term plan has always been to have her upstairs in her own bedroom, and to have as much of our house accessible to her. Our plan is to fit a lift that will accommodate her wheelchair, giving her the accessibility that we want for Lottie . This fundraising project will span over a couple of years with a variety of exciting events.
