So after a hiatus in updates and a bit of inertia all round, the children are back swimming again. A higher value form of bribery has been found - Chocolate Limes. Ice creams just weren't cutting it any more. Huge thank yous are also due to the Biddulph Family and others for letting us use their pools when ours was out of action. And in particular to Alex for whipping the children into shape and flogging the deadest of horses. So the new updates in metres this time are: Loveday - 25,180m Clement - 20,830m. So the end is in sight - Hurrah!!

Well we have lost track of which day we are on! OK well Mummy has! After two weeks of waiting to get a power cable mended to restore electricity to the pool cover, we were then hampered further by that rare thing - the British Monsoon Season! Try explaining to children why it raining when they swim, will make no difference to how wet they get....Both children did manage 120 lengths each over the last week taking their totals to Loveday 1582 and Clement 1402. And Oxford University have found that Dexamethasone helps tackle CV19 - YIPPEEEE!

Both children have been a bit under the weather with the heat recently. But as soon as they did manage a brief spurt of swimming enthusiasm they both had to stop when Clem's over large swim shorts fell off and Loveday ran off with them!! (see triumphant picture - Clem is underwater!) The following day rain had brought a power cable down, cutting the power to open the pool - so that means a brief hiatus waiting for an engineer to come and fix it. Both managed 80 lengths each, taking totals to: Loveday 1462 and Clement 1382 - almost half way!!
