I've raised £200 to help aid Midwifery care in Uganda

Midwifery care in the UK is profound, and i feel privileged to be going into such a caring and women centred profession. Pregnancy should be a time of excitement and fulfilment, but what if you couldn't receive the care you wished for? what if basic tools for a midwife was BASIC. There was no equipment to monitor your blood pressure, there was no way of listening to your babies heartbeat.
During my training i have met a lovely Ugandan midwife who talked to us about BASIC tools for a midwife/student midwife in Uganda. They are so passionate for the women and babies in their care but they just do not have the tools to provide such standards of care that we are provided with and expect during our pregnancy.
We are inviting student midwives from Uganda to visit our hospitals and see our midwifery profession in all its glory and i am hoping i raise enough money to buy equipment for them to take back to Uganda and incorporate in their training like i and so many more students rely on, on a daily basis.
We could save lives!! Please donate and make a difference to midwives, student midwives, women and babies in Uganda.
