LEJOG day 19 I am finding it hard to describe how I am feeling right now but I have cycled 1060 miles and made John O Groats. What a way to start my retirement!! I have so many wonderful memories from the views, scenery, people I have met along the way. So many stories to dine out on, so many laughs. Today has been mainly flat but the brutal head wind made it hard going but I made it. Thank you to all who have donated and supported along the way no doubt I will be planning my next adventure

LEJOG day 18 So excited as we are nearly there. Today has been a long cold day cycling along cycleways beside water for about 45 miles. The wildlife has been amazing seen so many birds curlews, herons, cormorants, eagles reminding me of my times with my dad. Then second half of our journey was very different 31 miles made Bly on single track roads into a head wind very exposed and nothing for miles. We are staying in Altarhara which only has a hotel and nothing out. Looking forward to our final day tomorrow 74 miles to go!!!

LEJOG day 17 Can’t believe we are nearing the end of our adventure, each day has been amazing in so many different ways. Today started cold wet and windy and made us remember the start of our journey. Luckily the rain didn’t last long but the cold wind did, reminding us that we are in Scotland. The scenery was a stark contrast to the last few days as we left behind the Cairngorms and headed to Inverness on quiet lanes lined with spruce and pines. Highlights the viaduct and Cullendon battlefield
