Story

Ecuador is faced with many challenging issues this is why I am raising sponsorship money to volunteer. I will  be  climbing  Scafell  Pike  in  the  summer  of  2019, which  stands  at  an  elevation  of  978  meters. This  will  be  my  first  ever  mountain  that I have climbed  so  will  be  a  huge  challenge  and  achievement  for  me to undertake.

These are the reason why  I  am  so  passionate  about  raising  sponsorship  to  volunteer  in Ecuador.

Ecuador has a huge disparity between wealth and poverty, rural areas are being left behind the developing cities leading to over 50% of rural areas living below the poverty line. There is a lack of education and poor vegetable growing conditions contribute to the chronic malnutrition problem in the highlands.  Deforestation  is  on  the  agenda  for  Ecuador,  the  Amazon  is  the  worlds  largest  rain  forest and this is contributing to Global Warming.

I will be working on project solutions, so this can be building toilets in local homes to improve health and safety.  Building  kitchens  and  dinging  rooms  in  nearby  schools,  building  greenhouses  for  families  so  they can  grow  their  own  vegetables,  growing  native  plants  to  reforest  the  Amazon  rain  forest.

This  is  such  an  amazing  journey  that  I  will  be  going  on  and  I  would appreciate  any  dontations  big  or  small.   Thank  you  so  much  for  your  time  in  reading  my  story.
