Weʼre raising £500 to Raise money for a lovely friend of mine whose house unfortunately burnt down last Wednesday near St Helens Woods

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

Unfortunately last Wednesday a dear friend of mine’s house caught fire, causing 6 fire engines attending the scene all night, he had to stand and watch his roof fall through into every room and all of his personal belongings and memories of his late partner who was killed instantly only 2 years ago burn infront of him. Included in this was his partners ashes and all photographs. My friend has worked all of his life helping people with mental health remain in their own homes for as long as they can by supporting them however he can and he has gone above and beyond for many older people with alzheimer’s and dementia. He has been put up in a hotel in Hastings with only the clothes he was wearing, so is having to start from the begining. Luckily he was insured and eventually his home will be rebuilt, but he is not sure he will ever be able to go back there. If you have even £2 to spare. I have no idea how I would cope in this situation so am trying to at least help him initially and raise some money to start a fresh.
