Story

As a voluntary organisation working on behalf of the Police, SMWCRT receives no funding. All income is attained through donations, fundraising and applying for grants.

Several members of our team have played central roles in the Thailand Cave Rescue which highlights the need for all kit to be ready, up-to-date, and able to be deployed at short notice.

To be prepared to attend emergencies, not only UK-based, but worldwide, takes money and preparation. This is where you can help us.

Each of the 'Cave Link' sets (underground txt based communication) costs over £700. Your funds could help us buy another one of these and also help ensure our kit is kept up-to-date.

But it's not just expensive kit that helps to save lives. Our team owns about 20 hot drinks flasks, ensuring that when team emerge from perhaps 12 hours+ underground there can be a hot drink ready for them. Tackle bags to store and carry kit underground can cost around £50 and are absolutely essential items to have.

No matter how small you think it is, your donation matters to us. Thank you
