Whilst away on holiday in Costa Tequise, Lanzarote. I witnessed local workers chasing and smacking a little stray kitten, away from the attention of the pool side onlookers.

This completely shocked me.

Later on that day, I made it my focus to find the kitten and check to make sure he was okay, I had gone to the local store to buy him food, and I had told the bar staff how I felt about what I had seen. To my relief, he was okay, just very, very hungry.

That night he slept on my bed, curled up by my side..It was then that I knew I had to help.

I feed him when I could find him and sat with him most evenings. I contacted the charity 9Lives to help me after I had left. To my greatfulness, they did. They checked up on him, neutured him, and updated me about him.

This page is to fundraise to get him back to me in the UK, where I can offer or find him a safe, secure home to live a long and loved life. 9Lives have offered financial aid and now I need to fundraise to make the rest of the costs it takes for flights, vaccines, taxes, and care.
