Story

*I am receiving offline donations as well, so my fundraised total as of 20th May 2019 stands at £880, including the donations via my Just Giving page*

I've tried many times to lose some weight throughout my life, but then I thought of an interesting way to finally push myself. Why not do a sponsored weight loss? Losing weight for a very worthy cause will be a great motivator for me to make some changes towards a healthier lifestyle.

Therefore I have decided to set myself the challenge of losing 2 - 3 stone in 100 days in order to raise money for Action on Hearing Loss (Registered Charity Numbers 207720 (England and Wales) and SC038926 (Scotland)).

I've chosen Action on Hearing Loss as it is the Foresters Friendly Society chosen charity for 2018/2019. It is also an important cause to support, since the ability to hear clearly can be taken for granted by those who have no problems with their hearing. I was born partially deaf but had grommets inserted into my ears, and it completely changed and shaped who I am today.

My weight loss challenge started on Tuesday 12th February 2019 and is due to end on Thursday 23rd May 2019. My starting weight is 18 1/2 stone, so my goal is to reach between 15 1/2 - 16 1/2 stone.

I will post regular updates to keep you all informed of how I am doing in my pursuit to change my lifestyle for the better!

Once this page has closed I will send a cheque of all of your donations to Action on Hearing Loss.

Thank you for your sponsorship and support! :)
