Hello, My aim is to raise money in order to fund me to do a charity sky dive. I do not wish to go in to too much detail as to why I'm doing this however as most people may know my son Connah is sadly no longer with us. At my 11 week scan we discovered he had an Omphalocele which is when organs are forming outside of the body which was very hard news to digest. At my 20 week scan i then discovered that he also had a diaphragmatic hernia. This left him with way under 50% chance of survival. His stomach was located in his upper chest and his heart was located very close to his chest wall, his left lung was not growing because of this and the hospital advised us even if the baby did survive birth he would go through a lot of surgery and he would be in hospital for a very long time. We were also told by surgeons/consultants how they had never really seen a baby with both of these problems as it is so rare. We were told Connah may not be able to breathe even with assistance. Connah also had problems with his hands and feet. I as a parent have no idea why or how this happened but awareness needs to be raised and that is my aim today. I wish to raise money and do the charity sky dive in memory of my angel.
