I've raised £1500 to Help a couple start again in a new home after becoming homeless and sleeping on the streets of London for for 9 months.

The last year has been one of the most difficult times we have gone through. My husband, Karl was mad redundant and we ended up losing our home, we had become homeless!
For 9months we slept rough, in doorways, parks and on walk ways around the Westminster area! We slept outside Piccadilly train station for most of the time we was on the street and met so many kind hearted people but life had become degrading, humiliating and at times a struggle to keep fighting.
Finally we got accepted into a hostel and they have help restore our belief and faith in our self’s. We have been accepted for a housing charity and very soon will be placed in our own property. We really went through some bad experiences living rough and we are getting the help and support we need to move forward. I have enrolled to study for a distance learning Couse for a level 3 diploma in health and social care so I can finally train to become a support worker for people that have faced homelessness or have struggled in their life in one way or another.
SO...you may now be wondering why I am trying to raise money when we are off the street and things are looking good, WELL,,
We have been told that once a property is offered to us it will contain nothing, completely empty! So I am asking for your help this final time so we can raise money to buy the basics we need to live, e.g. bed, cooker, fried/freezer, washing machine etc. etc.
We struggled for months and months living on the streets of the West end, cold, and wet from the rain, hungry and lonely. Each day that passed we had to believe that it was a day closer to that loneliness ending. We never went down the path of alcohol or drugs or crime and believe the fight for a better life is what got us through.
So please help us! You can really make a difference to our life and help us have a better future!
You can see where your spare change will go and know that you have really made a difference to helping us succeed.
You can really make a difference!
