We’re raising money to provide Prince William School Sixth Form students with a place to study, de-stress and socialise
It’s hard being a teenager and it’s even harder when you’re studying for A Levels. At the point in their young lives where they’re trying to discover just who they are, they’re also obliged to prepare for the biggest exams of their lives – exams that will probably determine their long-term career path.
That’s why friends of Prince William School want to raise money to help the school provide the sixth form students with a place that belongs to them – a comfortable sanctuary where they can study, relax and socialise between classes.
Right now, students use a number of spaces to work during study periods – but they don’t have a bespoke common room. The school have identified a spacious area that can be converted for the student’s use and are working to clear and undertake basic preparations. However, there are limited funds available to furnish this area.
That’s why we’re raising money. We want to decorate the area, buy flooring, couches, soft furnishings, and whatever’s needed to transform the area into a place that sixth formers can call their own.
There are 140 students in the sixth form and we’re confident that the generosity of our parents and guardians, local people and local businesses will help us reach our target of £3,000 - a fairly small price to make a big difference to our children’s school life.
Connecting with our teenagers can feel like a difficult task at times, but this is an opportunity to really support them and show them that we care in a tangible way. Please donate.
